When choosing a laptop, portability is often an essential feature. If you travel frequently with your laptop under your laptop on planes and long drives weight (or lack of weight makes very important). Surely no one wants to be a ten-pound kart monster of a laptop in and out of a car or an airport, in addition to everything you have to support.
